Oxylus LLC
Our Story
Oxylus: Wildlife Management for the Future
In 2019, Joshua Cornia, founder of Oxylus LLC, set out to change wildlife resource management and create the ultimate hunting experience.
Growing up in a household where hunting and the outdoors were a way of life, Joshua learned from his dad, a wildlife biologist. Early on, he understood the balance between wildlife conservation and responsible hunting. As hunting traditions continued in his own family, he saw firsthand the inefficiencies of outdated systems in his home state—clunky, slow and disconnected from modern technology.
Joshua wanted to improve the hunting draw process and wildlife management so the idea for Oxylus was born. The vision? To bridge the gap between technology and conservation, for hunters and wildlife managers.
Innovating Conservation
At its core, Oxylus uses cutting edge technology to transform hunting draws, licensing, harvest surveys and data collection. By giving wildlife managers the most accurate real-time data, they can make informed decisions for healthier wildlife populations and sustainable herd management.
Acknowledging the scope of the challenge, Joshua assembled a team in 2021, bringing fresh ideas and expertise to develop a roadmap for the future of Oxylus. By 2022 the team worked with developers and entrepreneurs to refine and launch the new technology that would bring this vision to life.
A Legacy in Conservation & Tradition
The name Oxylus, inspired by the Greek demi-god and guardian of mountain beech forests, represents the company’s mission: technology, conservation and outdoor recreation.
With its launch, Oxylus is a pioneer at the intersection of wildlife management, technology and hunting. By partnering with key stakeholders, we’re not just improving the hunting experience—we’re preserving wildlife heritage for future generations.

Joshua Cornia
Founder and CEO
Wildlife, A Passion and A Future
As a kid Josh Cornia spent most of his time outdoors, exploring and running into wildlife. Growing up with his dad, a wildlife biologist Josh developed a love for nature and an understanding of how humans impact animal populations.
His love for the outdoors only grew as he spent years hunting, exploring and learning from experts dedicated to preserving wildlife. Over time Josh built relationships with those on the frontlines of conservation and habitat management and listened to the challenges they faced in balancing wildlife, habitat and human activity.
Turning Passion Into Action
Knowing these challenges firsthand Josh acted – working with Utah Legislature and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources to pass bills that benefit both sportsmen and conservation. His work helped pass wildlife tagging bills and protect Second Amendment rights tied to outdoor recreation so hunting traditions remain accessible while supporting responsible wildlife management.
Tech Meets Conservation
As a self-proclaimed tech geek Josh saw an opportunity to reinvent wildlife management. He wanted a modern, data driven platform that would empower wildlife managers with real-time, community driven insights. By using technology he wanted to connect hunters, fishers and outdoor enthusiasts directly with decision makers so the people who interact with wildlife the most have a say in its future.
Oxylus was Born
With that in mind Oxylus was born – a platform to protect wildlife and preserve outdoor heritage for future generations. By bringing cutting edge technology into conservation Oxylus is changing the way we manage wildlife so ecosystems thrive and hunters, fishers and outdoor enthusiasts can continue to enjoy the great outdoors.
Josh’s story is proof that passion, tech and advocacy can make a difference – and Oxylus is leading the way.
